I am an experienced educator and NPQSL-qualified educational leader with over 11 years of professional experience in teaching and leading Islamic Education across diverse school contexts in the UAE. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, specializing in Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University, and I have completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) in the United Kingdom, in addition to professional leadership training with Harvard University.
I currently serve as Head of the Islamic Education Department, where I lead strategic curriculum development, coach and mentor teachers, design effective assessment systems, and oversee quality assurance and school improvement initiatives. My leadership practice is strongly aligned with evidence-informed approaches, focusing on improving teaching quality, student outcomes, and sustainable impact.
My work is driven by a deep commitment to student-centered learning, critical thinking, and the purposeful integration of Visible Thinking Strategies within Islamic Education. Alongside my leadership role, I am a master’s researcher in curricula and teaching methods, with a research focus on the impact of visible thinking strategies on developing students’ critical thinking skills.
I am passionate about professional development and bridging classical Islamic knowledge with contemporary educational practices. My educational vision centers on purposeful, values-driven education.

Beyond Translation: Using AI and EdTech to Transform Arabic Learning for Non-Native Speakers
Session Summary:
Teaching Arabic to non-native speakers has traditionally relied on translation and rote memorisation. While these approaches introduce vocabulary and grammar, they often fail to build genuine communication skills or sustain learner engagement. This practical workshop demonstrates how Artificial Intelligence and educational technology can transform Arabic language teaching into an interactive, personalised, and communicative experience. Participants will explore how AI tools such as ChatGPT, image generators, speech recognition, and digital assessment platforms can be integrated into everyday lessons to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The session will showcase classroom-ready strategies that reduce teacher workload while increasing student participation. Through live demonstrations and hands-on activities, attendees will learn how to create differentiated learning materials, generate meaningful conversations, provide instant feedback, design culturally authentic learning experiences, and assess student progress using AI-supported tools.
