Shahram Hashemi is the Managing Partner of Aldenham Education Group (AEG), where he leads the global expansion and strategic vision of this fast-growing K-12 international school group. Under his leadership, AEG has become a fully integrated education platform, investing in, developing, and operating premium K-12 schools and kindergartens globally.
AEG has established a strong footprint in the Middle East particularly in Saudi Arabia, spearheading the development of premium Aldenham schools and early years centres while forging strategic partnerships with government entities, real estate developers, investors and family offices.
With over 24 years of experience in private equity and investment banking, working for JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, Ithmar Capital and DIB Capital. Before founding and leading AEG, he served as Group Director of Strategy & Investment for the Government of Ras Al Khaimah and RAK Economic Zone, where he was responsible for overall strategy development, implementation, and investment execution.
Prior to working for UAE government, Shahram was Head of Investments at the Oman Brunei Investment Company (OBIC), a sovereign wealth fund jointly owned by the governments of Oman and Brunei making private equity investments. He held multiple board of directors’ positions across sectors including hospitality (Kempinski Hotel Muscat), telecommunications (Renna Mobile), and manufacturing (Sun Packaging).
