Dr. Ibraheem Mohammed Alsawalem
Associated Professor - Special Education Department, Education College, University of Hail
Dr. Alsawalem is an Associate Professor at the University of Hail, Saudi Arabia, specializing in developmental and intellectual disabilities. He earned his PhD from the University of Newcastle, Australia at age 34. With extensive experience as a teacher, supervisor at the Ministry of Education, and executive director of a local disability association, he has developed and managed a local Center for Disability Studies and Scientific Communication. Dr. Alsawalem’s work focuses on integrating psychological, educational, and inclusive strategies to support the wellbeing and learning of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He has received numerous awards for his research, including recognition from the Saudi Embassy in Australia and the Best Research Award in Humanities at the University of Newcastle. He has over 35 publications cited more than 100 times and serves on editorial boards of several international journals. He is a member of the special education department, chairs the department’s scientific committee, and participates in multiple university committees. His research and practice aim to advance inclusive education and student wellbeing in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
