Julia Arthur-Godar
Assistant Principal - Fox Grove School, UK
Julia Arthur‑Godar (MEd, NPQSL, NMT) is Acting Vice Principal at The Howard Partnership Trust and a Neurosequential Model in Education (NME) Trainer. She specialises in applying cognitive developmental neuroscience and trauma‑informed principles to strengthen engagement, wellbeing and inclusion for children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs in both specialist and mainstream settings.
Julia leads trust‑wide work on regulation‑focused practice, sensory profiling and the design of predictable, relationally safe learning environments. Her recent case study on whole‑school NME implementation demonstrates how developmental sequencing and regulation‑first design can transform attendance, behaviour and academic outcomes for learners with complex needs.
Known for her clarity, emotional intelligence and ability to translate neuroscience into accessible, actionable practice, Julia works with leaders and staff teams to embed sustainable, developmentally aligned approaches that enable every learner to thrive.
