Falak Shaikhani
Founder & Director - The Aster School
Falak Shaikhani is an educationist, entrepreneur and thought leader with more than a decade of experience shaping education across the early years through Grade 12. A graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she completed her Master’s degree, Falak began her professional career in London as a consultant at Deloitte, gaining experience across strategy, organisational development and business transformation before moving into education.
As the Founder and Director of The Aster School, Falak has led the institution’s growth from its inception into a growing educational network, developing a distinctive approach to child-centred learning. Her work is grounded in the belief that education should nurture the whole child — building character, confidence, independence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Inspired by the principles of Montessori, Reggio Emilia and the Finnish approach to education, Falak brings together international educational perspectives with a deep understanding of the evolving needs of children, families and educators. Character education sits at the heart of her philosophy, with a focus on helping children develop the values, resilience and sense of purpose they need to navigate an ever-changing world.
As part of Aster’s continued growth and international expansion, Falak is now leading the school’s entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in partnership with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC), through the launch of The Aster School’s first international campus in Riyadh.
The expansion reflects her commitment to advancing early years education, bringing globally informed educational practices to new communities, and contributing to the Kingdom’s evolving education ecosystem in alignment with the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.
