Claudia Rus

Claudia Rus is an Interior Designer with more than 14 years of freelance and corporate experience in furniture manufacturing. With a strong background in conceptual design and workplace consultancy, she embraces a user-centric approach while working with end customers to uncover their implicit and explicit needs. She applies the design thinking methodology and insight-led approach in order to create innovative inspiring new places where individuals and groups can thrive and grow. She focuses on developing meaningful tailored solutions that promote resilience, wellbeing, engagement and productivity in the many places where we live, work and learn. She started her career in Romania, where she was born and raised, and has been living in Dubai for the past 6 years. Working with Steelcase for more than 10 years now, she has been engaging with global clients, architects and designers, and has taken over a sales role, focused on growing the business in education for the Middle East region. Claudia has graduated with Magna cum Laude at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, with a masters degree in interior design architectural lighting and two bachelors degree in product design - one in furniture and the other in jewelry design from the Accademia di Belle Arti Macerata. She has a teaching degree for Design courses and is highly engaged in partnerships that nurture lifelong learning.
