Deborah Sharifi

Deborah Sharifi is currently the Head of School at Downe House Riyadh, a leading premium British girls’ school. With over two decades of international educational leadership experience,much of it in the Middle East, she has successfully held senior roles across British, American, and IB curriculum schools. Deborah is deeply committed to the power of education to transform lives and expand the life opportunities of young people. Throughout her career, she has maintained a strong track record of raising attainment in all of her schools, leading innovative curriculum design, and implementing effective, student-centred behavior policies. She has also led the preparation of school reports for major accreditation and inspection bodies including CIS, NEASC, ADS, BSO, Irtiqaa, and National Identity. Her work continues to be driven by a passion for educational excellence and a belief in the lifelong impact of a high-quality, values-based education.
