Maritza Vorster

I am an international educator and school leader with more than 25 years of experience across South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. Throughout my career, I have worked across a variety of curricula and educational contexts, with experience in teaching, curriculum development, school improvement, inclusion, assessment, and professional development.

I have held several senior leadership roles, including Whole-School Principal, Primary Principal, and Deputy Superintendent, giving me extensive experience in leading teaching and learning, supporting staff development, strengthening curriculum practice, and building positive school cultures.

My educational philosophy is centred on the belief that students should be active, curious and engaged participants in their own learning. I believe learning should provide opportunities for students to question, explore, collaborate, make choices, and develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed in a changing world.

I hold a Master’s degree in Inclusive Education and postgraduate qualifications in Education Management, and I am currently completing my PhD in Education, with a research focus on meaningful learner engagement and inquiry-based learning.

As a leader, I am passionate about developing people, building strong relationships, promoting innovation, and creating inclusive learning communities where both students and educators can thrive.
