Innovation That Sticks: Strategy, Stakeholders, and Sustainable Digital Learning
Session Summary:
This session tackles a persistent challenge in educational leadership: transforming isolated innovation initiatives into sustainable, system-wide digital learning practices. Many schools celebrate innovative projects that remain confined to individual classrooms, whilst digital tools become routine without meaningful pedagogical integration. This session presents a strategic framework for embedding digital learning within core teaching and learning priorities, building organisational capacity through structured coaching models, and creating evidence-informed iteration cycles that ensure lasting impact. Participants will be able to:
• Evaluate strategic alignment models that integrate digital learning initiatives with institutional teaching and learning priorities, ensuring innovation moves beyond isolated implementation to systematic adoption
• Design capacity-building frameworks incorporating coaching structures and routine development that build staff confidence and competence in sustainable digital pedagogy practices
• Analyse evidence-based iteration processes that utilise data and stakeholder feedback to refine digital learning approaches, creating continuous improvement cycles that maintain momentum and demonstrate measurable impact
