Gavin Maher
Principal Educational Consultant - Renaissance Learning
Gavin Maher is a Teaching and Learning Consultant at Renaissance Learning, supporting schools across the Middle East with Nearpod and Flocabulary. With over 12 years of experience in education, Gavin has worked as a classroom teacher, phase leader, subject leader, and whole-school leader across Ireland and the UAE.
Throughout his career, Gavin has focused on improving teaching and learning, supporting teacher development, and helping educators turn assessment insights into meaningful classroom action. He is particularly passionate about adaptive teaching, differentiation, formative assessment, inclusion, and student engagement.
Gavin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Training, a Professional Master’s in Primary Education, and a Master’s in International Educational Leadership.
Drawing on his experience in both the classroom and school leadership, Gavin now works with educators and school leaders across the region to explore how Nearpod can enhance teaching and learning, create more engaging and inclusive classrooms, and empower teachers to better meet the needs of every learner.
