Salvador Monpeat is the IT Manager for SEK Education Group’s regional expansion across MENA and the Director of Technology at SEK International School Riyadh. He leads EdTech, Data Compliance, and IT Operations, bridging strategy and execution to build scalable, student-first digital foundations -identity, devices, governance, and workflows- that protect classroom time, strengthen trust, and improve the daily experience of students, teachers, and operations teams. Since joining SEK in 2017, Salvador has progressed from campus-level leadership to international consulting and expansion, helping open five schools and supporting the next phase of growth across the region. His work spans cybersecurity and data governance, process optimisation across departments, and preparing schools for responsible AI adoption at scale. He is a Telecommunications Engineer with an international Master’s in Telecommunications and is currently completing an MBA.

المدارس لا تُعلّم من خلال الدروس فقط - بل تُعلّم من خلال الأنظمة. يستكشف هذا الحديث "المنهج غير المرئي": ما يتعلمه الطلاب والمعلمون والموظفون من العمليات اليومية - الهدوء أو الفوضى، الثقة أو الاحتكاك، الانتماء أو التوتر. بالاستناد إلى الخبرة الحقيقية في افتتاح وتوسيع نطاق المدارس عبر منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، تقدم الجلسة دليلاً عملياً يركز على الإنسان لجعل اليوم الأول والتعلم اليومي موثوقاً ومبهجاً.
باستخدام بوصلة 3C (الرعاية، الاستمرارية، الامتثال) وطريقة FLOW (رسم خرائط الاحتكاك، الهوية والوصول متعدد الطبقات، الأتمتة التشغيلية، الرفاهية والثقة)، سيتعلم المشاركون كيفية تقليل التجزئة وإعادة الوقت للأشخاص وبناء الأسس اللازمة لاعتماد الذكاء الاصطناعي المسؤول على نطاق واسع.
النتيجة ليست "المزيد من التكنولوجيا"، بل المزيد من قدرة الرعاية - الوقت والطاقة المُعاد استثمارهما في جودة التعلم والرفاهية والمجتمع.

The invisible curriculum: How school operations shape learning more than we admit
Session Summary:
Schools don’t only teach through lessons -they teach through systems. This talk explores the “invisible curriculum”: what students, teachers, and staff learn from daily operations -calm or chaos, trust or friction, belonging or stress. Drawing on real experience opening and scaling schools across MENA, the session introduces a practical, human-centred playbook to make Day-1 and everyday learning reliable and joyful. Using the 3C Compass (Care, Continuity, Compliance) and the FLOW Method (Friction mapping, Layered identity & access, Operational automation, Wellbeing & trust), participants will learn how to reduce fragmentation, return time to people, and build the foundations needed for responsible AI adoption at scale. The outcome is not “more tech,” but more care capacity -time and energy reinvested into learning quality, wellbeing, and community.
