The Science of Emotional Intelligence: Practical Tools for Behavior, Connection & Regulation

Session Summary:

What if challenging behavior is not something to control, but something to understand?

This practical and interactive workshop explores the science behind emotional regulation, connection and behavior, and how emotional intelligence can transform the way we respond to children and one another.

Designed for school leaders, educators and parents, participants will explore what happens in the brain and body during moments of stress, why traditional behavior management approaches often fall short, and how regulation and connection create the foundation for meaningful change.

Through practical strategies inspired by Conscious Discipline, participants will learn how to recognize the needs beneath behavior, regulate themselves before responding, and use connection based tools to guide children toward more positive choices.

Most importantly, participants will leave with a ready to implement behavior management toolkit they can use immediately at school and at home.

Come for the science. Leave with practical tools to regulate, connect and respond differently.
