Generation Global

Lucy is Director of Generation Global, the global citizenship education programme of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. Lucy is passionate about the power of dialogue in transforming the lives of young people to become active, open-minded and global citizens. Under her leadership, the programme has reached over 100,000 young people and over 5,000 educators in more than 50 countries. Ensuring that equity, accessibility, inclusivity and sustainability are at the heart of Generation Global’s values and approach, has been key to the programme’s success. With over twenty years in the international development sector, Lucy’s led global education strategies and programmes, working closely with governments, schools and not for profit partners. During her career at the Institute, as well as her leadership positions at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, Leonard Cheshire and Christian Aid, she has worked closely with governments and local partners in countries such as Kenya, Rwanda, India and Lebanon, to design and deliver education programmes that have resulted in transformational change in the lives of children, young people and their communities. Lucy has an MSc. degree in Development Management and a BSc. in Development Studies.
