Yasmeen Mahmoud is interested in the things we cannot see in a classroom.
She is a KG Academic Supervisor at Al-Hussan Model International Schools – SABIC and a part-time lecturer at King Saud University, with an MSc in Applied Linguistics and a particular interest in psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, and bilingual language development.
Her work brings together academic knowledge and everyday classroom practice, with a focus on early childhood education, active learning, language development, and teacher development. Working across both KG and university settings has given her a unique perspective on learning—from how young children first develop language to how we understand and teach it academically.
Yasmeen is particularly interested in the questions behind education: how children actually learn, what happens in the brain when language develops, and how our understanding of learners can shape better educational practice.
She believes that sometimes the most important part of learning is the part we cannot see.
